Cleaning

Q: How do I clean my Lumicon filters and mirrors?
A: Cleaning your Lumicon filters and mirrors calls for the same basic rules required for cleaning of all optics.
1. Wash hands thoroughly.
2. Carefully blow off any dirt or dust from the surface to be cleaned, using compressed air or blower brush.
3. Moisten a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol or Lumicon lens cleaning solution.
4. Move swab across surface using a twisting motion to expose fresh parts of the swab. Do not use the same part of the swab more than once.
5. Repeat with new swabs until surface is clean. Note: Be sure that no streaks remain following evaporation of solvent.
Lumicon supplies an advanced filter / lens cleaning kit that contains all the materials and supplies needed to follow these guidelines. Click Here for Details (Advanced Cleaning kit)
